The annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions based on data from the Scopus scientometric database has been published.

Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy tooks the 20th place out of 204 higher education institutions of Ukraine.

This is a high result. Despite the fact that today the main task of the university is education, the safety of participants in the educational process, assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, scientists conduct research and publish the results in scientific journals indexed by the Scopus database.

We remind you that the results of the ranking are based on the citation indicators of scientific papers published by educational institutions or their specialists.

The ranking was compiled based on the results of scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity in Ukraine according to the indicators of the SciVerse Scopus database in April 2023.

In the ranking table, Ukrainian universities are ranked according to the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of their citations.

The Hirsch index in 2023 (h = 45) increased by 3 points compared to the indicators in 2022 (h = 42).
