Throughout June, pupils from several general education institutions visited the Educational-Scientific Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.

Among them were pupils from Cherkasy Specialized School No. 3 and Secondary School No. 32

The schoolchildren had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of biology and chemistry. Lecturers from the Department of Agronomy, Biology and Ecology, Olha Zubenko and Yuliia Kompaniets, introduced the pupils to a variety of interesting animals in the zoological museum. Associate Professor Viktoriia Osypenko, from the Department of Agronomy, Biology and Ecology, together with first-year students, taught the pupils how to independently prepare microscopic slides and examine them under a microscope. At the Department of Chemistry and Nanomaterials Science, Senior Laboratory Assistant Liudmyla Chamara, together with chemistry students, demonstrated captivating chemical reactions.

We hope that this exciting time spent at the university not only gave the pupils the opportunity to learn something new, but also helped them to choose their future profession.
