On the New Year's Eve, December 28, Anatoliy Bondarenko, Mayor of Cherkasy and Oleksandr Cherevko, Rector of the Bogdan Khmelnytsky Cherkasy National University opened two new training rooms for media students — a smart classroom and a multimedia laboratory. The latter is equipped within the framework of a grant project "Erasmus +" named "DESTIN", realized by the Department of Journalism, Advertising and PR-technologies and aimed at improving journalism education in Ukraine.

Students of the preparatory department of the Institute of International Education of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy are studying many different disciplines. April 19-20, the doors of the Bogdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkassy hospitably opened for the participants of the XXth Annual All-Ukrainian Conference of Young Scientists "Actual problems of natural sciences and humanities in researches of young scientists", whichiswarmly called "Rodzynka"by the organizers.

On March 13-14, in the capital of Podkarpackie Voivodeship, the city of Rzeszów (Poland) the scheduled international Europe-Ukraine Forum was held.The 11th Forum this year went under a symbolic title of “Association with the European Union and What’s Next?».The Forum was visited by the Vice-Director of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Economics and Law Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and International Economic relations Taras Romashchenko.

Professor of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy Borys Minaiev reviews articles for many high-rate scientific journals. That is reflected in the multiple certificates the Ukrainian scientist receives from foreign partners. This work is free, yet it is very necessary for the development of science and is very appreciated by the editorial offices of the journals.

The great and festive opening of the New Year Tree was held at Cherkassy National University on December 22.
