Yevhen Zavalin, a 3rd-year student of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Foreign Languages of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, has begun his academic year in the Spanish city of Valladolid under the Erasmus+ international academic mobility program.

“For the first time since the beginning of the war, our male students have had the opportunity to take part in the competition,” the coordinator of the project and the head of the Department of Modern English Teaching Practices, Nataliia Slyvka notes. “This became possible due to changes in border crossing regulations for men. According to these changes, men, provided they have the necessary documents, can cross the border to participate in academic mobility programs, in particular, this applies to the Erasmus + program.”

Yevhen Zavalin shared his first impressions of Valladolid:

“This city is wonderful and picturesque. So far, I’ve managed to attend a concert of an incredibly popular singer in Spain and a fireworks show, which really impressed me. Additionally, a meeting of Erasmus students was held at the university, where I had the opportunity to meet and make friends with other students from different countries of the world, who study within this educational project too.”

We wish Yevhen success in his studies, new exciting experiences, and pleasant memories from Spain!
