At Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, student elections were held.

On October 30, the head of the university’s student council as well as the leaders and elected representatives of the student self-government within the educational and scientific departments of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy were elected.

“The polling stations were open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,” the head of the Central Election Commission of the university, Yana Bilokin, said. “During the pre-election campaign, the candidates were very active, held decent debates, and, ultimately, the most deserving candidates won.”

According to Olesia Bilnitska, a member of the precinct election commission of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications, students actively participated in the elections. They did not neglect the opportunity to vote, as they understood that by electing their leaders, they were choosing their own future at the university.

“I thank everyone who took part in this year’s elections to the student council. It was an exciting and important event for all of us. We have demonstrated true unity and a proactive attitude, showing that we are ready to work for positive changes at our university. I sincerely congratulate the newly elected council members! We have many tasks ahead of us, and together we will be able to bring our ideas to life and make learning and student life even better. I encourage all students to actively cooperate and be open – your suggestions and initiatives will always be heard and supported,” the newly elected head of the BKNUC student council, Karina Vovchenko said.

Based on the election results, Anastasiia Diakonova became the head of the student council of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Foreign Languages, Davyd Kravchenko of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Informational and Educational Technologies, Andrii Zakharchenko of the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy.

Anna Filipova became the head of the student council of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Economics and Law, and Kateryna Suprun of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications. Liia Lubianova was elected as the head of the student council of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, and Yuliia Ananieva was elected as the head of the student council of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Health.

The student council of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Pedagogical Education, Social Work and Art is headed by Vladyslava Hetalo, Psychology department by Yuliia Nalyvaiko, the Department of Computing Engineering, Intellectual and Management Systems by Vitalii Marian.

Students also elected representative members from student councils of educational and scientific institutes and faculties. Therefore, educational and scientific institutes and faculties will represent:

Amieliia Khrenova (the Educational-Scientific Institute of Foreign Languages);

Anna Petrova (the Educational-Scientific Institute of Informational and Educational Technologies);
