The special anatomical simulator has been handed over to Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy by representatives of the Rotary Club, D1870, “Steinfurt”, Germany, through the mediation of the Rotary Club of Cherkasy.

With the simulator, students will be able to practice all the necessary complex techniques for saving lives and master the skills of tactical medicine, which must be possessed in conditions of martial law.

Rector of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy Oleksandr Cherevko also spoke about the importance of high-quality educational equipment for proper training of specialists:

– We continue cooperation with the Rotary Club of Cherkasy. The management of the club, through the mediation of Olha Paliychuk, constantly organizes charitable assistance to improve the quality of education, which is the foundation of our strength, stability, and our victory. Earlier, the university has already received a generator, as well as simulation equipment worth 10,000 euros, which we successfully use for high-quality training of future doctors and reserve officers. Today, we have received a new specialized anatomical simulator worth 97,000 euros from representatives of the Rotary Club, D1870, Steinfurt, Germany. We sincerely thank our friends, Mr. Claus Muchow and his team, as well as the benefactors from Germany for such essential assistance!

The modern simulator replicates most types of injuries, bleeding, and fractures, and is equipped with a pulse sensor, light-sensitive eyes, and movable limbs. Controlling the simulator and selecting the type of injury is done using a special tablet. With the help of the simulator, training will be carried out in several directions:

– medical students will master skills in anesthesiology, resuscitation, surgery, and traumatology;

– training in tactical medicine will be conducted for students of the military department;

– all university students will undergo a military training course and learn to provide emergency assistance.

“If this investment helps to save at least one leg or one arm, not to mention a life, then I think we have succeeded in our mission,” the Head of “Rotary Supports Ukraine Mission” Claus Muchow noted, who dreams of returning to Ukraine as a lecturer after the victory.

During the meeting, the administration told the German delegation about the peculiarities of the university’s activities in wartime conditions, and together they discussed the needs of the institution during the blackout. In addition, they discussed the issue of supplying an anatomical table and other equipment to ensure quality education of students.
