Academic staff and students of the Department of German Philology of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy took part in the webinar «Sharing EU Multilingual Education Policymaking Practices in Ukraine», which has been held within the MultiEd project of the Erasmus Plus programme by the University of Tartu (Estonia) and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The participants of the event talked with Kristina Kallas, the Minister of Education and Research of Estonia, who gave a speech on the topic «Multilingual Education: Estonian Know-How Sharing». They learned a lot about the education system and the aspect of multilingualism in Estonia. In her report, the state expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Maryna Mruha, analysed in detail the challenges facing Ukraine on the way to the introduction of multilingualism.
The attendees also heard detailed recommendations from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the implementation of multilingual education in higher education and general secondary education institutions.
