Professor Andrii Husak and Associate Professor Yaroslav Korol, lecturers of the Department of Physics at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, currently work at the scientific centre Ensemble3 in Warsaw and in the laboratories of the Łukasiewicz Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics.
Advanced training of academic staff is an indispensable condition for a high level of educational and scientific activity of the university. A particularly effective form of professional improvement is an internship in the leading scientific centres of Europe, which provides an opportunity to expand scientific contacts and work on the latest equipment.
During the internship, scientists of BKNUC develop the theoretical foundations of the physical processes of growth of eutectic crystals and experimental methods of thermoanalytical and dilatometric research of crystalline materials. The experience gained will allow to enrich the arsenal of experimental methods of the university's laboratories, expand and update the range of scientific research, set and solve new scientific problems in the field of new materials in the future, and open up new opportunities in the search for grant support.
Scientists work in an international team with Polish, Indian, Brazilian, Swedish, Pakistani, and Japanese researchers, and this provides additional opportunities for familiarization with the teaching methods and scientific work of foreign teams. Nastya Nerushak, a post-graduate student of BKNUC, is interning with her colleagues and already has publications in well-known scientific journals.
