The internationalization of education and science is one of the priorities of BKNUC, so an important step in this direction was the meeting between representatives of the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology of the University of Bielefeld (Germany) and the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.
The meeting, initiated by Taras Romashchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and International Economic Relations, Oleksandra Demianenko, Researcher of the New Europe College-Institute for Advanced Study (Romania), and Director of the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy Andrii Kasian, became an important step in strengthening international partnership, which will contribute to the development of educational and scientific opportunities for both parties.
During the meeting, Ukrainian and German colleagues discussed the prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions. The Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology of Bielefeld University was represented by Kornelia Kończal, Associate Professor of the Department of Public History.
Andrii Kasian spoke about the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy, specialties, faculty, scientific research that have been implemented or are in the process of being implemented. The main attention was paid to the issues of academic mobility of students and lecturers within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, conducting joint scientific research, as well as organizing joint conferences and workshops.
Both sides expressed their mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and implementing specific projects in the near future.
Cooperation at this level is a significant step in expanding the international dimension of Ukrainian education and science.
