Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy has received an official report on three years of implementation of the Twinning initiative, which has become one of the most large-scale and significant international educational initiatives.
Despite the end of official funding, the Cormack Consultancy Group team emphasises its continued support for Twinning partnerships and expresses its gratitude to BKNUC for its resilience, determination, and commitment to the principles of academic integrity. In their letter, they highlight that the ability of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy not only to withstand challenges, but also to play a leading role in the field of education, inspires British partners and serves an example for the international academic community.
Within the framework of the project, Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy partnered with the University of Greenwich (London, United Kingdom). Throughout the collaboration with the University of Greenwich, the parties actively developed inter-institutional communication, exchanged experience, and implemented joint activities, including webinars and discussions on modern strategies for higher education management. At the same time, our institution received humanitarian aid from the University of Greenwich, including technical equipment for organising blended and distance learning (laptops, projectors, visualizers, etc.).
At the conclusion of the project, Rector Oleksandr Cherevko and the team of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy received certificates of appreciation from the Cormack Consultancy Group for the development of international academic cooperation.
The Cormack Consultancy Group firmly believes that the best is yet to come. Rebuilding the Ukrainian higher education system opens up new transformative opportunities. And it is through partnerships like Twinning that it becomes possible to create a more sustainable, innovative, and high-quality academic environment.
“On behalf of our university community, I sincerely thank the Cormack Consultancy Group team and the University of Greenwich for their solidarity, support, and belief in Ukrainian education. In the most difficult times, you extended a helping hand to us. We appreciate your trust and are convinced that together we can achieve even more for the future of our students and for the rebuilding of Ukraine,” said Oleksandr Cherevko.
Background: The Twinning Program is a partnership project between Ukrainian educational institutions and educational institutions in the United Kingdom and other countries around the world, aimed at preventing brain drain, creating conditions for overcoming crisis phenomena and developing the higher education system of Ukraine according to the best world practices. The Program was launched by the British consulting company the Cormack Consultancy Group (United Kingdom) with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Originally started as an urgent response by British universities to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, over time, the project has evolved into a systemic model of support for Ukrainian higher education during wartime.
