Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Primary Education of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy Inna Lytvyn participated in an international academic mobility program.
From September 28 to October 10, 2024, the scholar was part of a delegation from the Ukrainian educational community visiting educational institutions in Finland with the aim of studying experience and adopting the best international practices and innovations in inclusive education. As part of the program of the visit, she also attended a seminar on mastering the project approach in the organization of the educational process in Finnish educational institutions and improving the level of qualifications of specialists.
Finland is a country that holds a leading position in the world rankings of the quality of education and in the implementation of integrated learning in the education system. The Finnish education system is unique and accessible for children with special educational needs.
The first day of the visit began with an introduction to the educational activities of the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (in Kotka). In the following days, the delegation visited the primary school in Mansikkamäki and learnt about the experience of teaching the younger schoolchildren with special educational needs, the preschool and child development centre in Myllykoski, the Ukrainian Association in Finland (in Helsinki), etc.
The working trip took place with the support of the Polish-Ukrainian Foundation “Institute for International Academic and Scientific Cooperation” (IIASC), represented by director Oksana Tsmots, the City Hall of Sippola, Finland, and the Lviv Regional Resource Center for Support of Inclusive Education of the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education (LRIPPE), represented by Halyna Varkholyk.
