Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine in Ukraine Dr. Mohammed Qasem Assad Alassad visited the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.

University Rector Oleksandr Cherevko told the guests about the number of instructors and students, the structure of the University that offers training in 57 civil fields and 2 military ones. The University scientists are the founders of famous scientific schools that are known as famous and quoted in Europe. Students and instructors obtain grants, have internships abroad. They are in demand among the employers, which is also supported by the independent rating by the employers’ association of Ukraine. The ChNU occupies a leading place among the higher educational institutions of the region and improves its rating among the higher educational institutions of Ukraine year by year.

Oleksandr Cherevko also stated that the ChNU carries out active international activity, the university cooperates with foreign partners based on 100 current agreements. The students are also able to get dual degree certificates thanks to the agreements with the higher-educational institutions of Poland and Azerbaijan. The ChNU has hosted foreign students for two years. At present the student body includes representatives of 10 countries, some of them are taking postgraduate courses.

The rector offered to establish a cooperation with the higher educational institutions of Palestine and invited Palestinian students to study here.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine in Ukraine Dr. Mohammed Qasem Assad Alassad mentioned that cooperation between the scientists of both countries and the sharing of experience will have a positive effect on the scientific development. Cultural exchanges are also a possibility.
