Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy has once again confirmed its status as an open and competitive European university.

The university has been included on the list of partners of the new Erasmus+ KA171-317280 project in cooperation with the University of Valladolid (Spain).

The new stage of collaboration is planned for 2025–2028. It is worth noting that this project holds an exceptionally high ranking – third place among all KA171 initiatives in Spain – with total funding of over 1 million euros.

The project’s coordinator and initiator from Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, Head of the Department of Modern English Teaching Practices, Nataliia Slyvka, emphasised:

“We are sincerely pleased to continue our fruitful cooperation with the University of Valladolid. Within the framework of previous projects, more than 20 grants were awarded to bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate students, as well as 3 grants for staff training. Equally important is that faculty members from both universities actively participate in joint scientific activities, join research groups, and serve on the editorial boards of academic journals. The new stage will open up even more opportunities for academic mobility and professional growth for our lecturers and students.”

This is the sixth joint project between Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy and the University of Valladolid, demonstrating the sustainability of the partnership and mutual trust between the institutions. Through participation in the Erasmus+ programmes, BKNUC students and researchers gain invaluable international experience, develop intercultural communication skills, and contribute to the integration of Ukrainian education into the European academic space.
