Department of Basic Medicine was established by the decision of the Academic Council of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy of April 17, 2018 (minutes number 6). Personnel of the department consists of staff members, in particular Doctor of Medicine, Candidates of Medicine, Candidates of biological and psychological sciences, Professors and associate professors. The department has twenty three teaching rooms, equipped with computer technology and modern educational equipment. Laboratory and practical classes will be held on the basis of educational and scientific institutes of natural sciences, physical culture, sports and health, the educational laboratory of medical and physical rehabilitation of the "Eden" sanatorium of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, as well as clinical departments of medical communal institutions, in particular the Cherkasy Regional Oncology Center and the Cherkasy Regional Hospital.
Now on the base of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy a training center "Medical Institute of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy" has been set up (Minutes No. 5 of the Academic Council of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, February 7, 2019).
