Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy (BKNUC) continues to expand opportunities for international academic mobility for its students and staff.

The Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI), which coordinates the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme in Finland, has announced the results of the Erasmus+ KA171 call for proposals for the period 2026–2029. Following the competitive selection process, the joint application submitted by Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy and JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Jyväskylä, Finland) was successful.

Within the framework of the three-year project implementation period (1 August 2026 – 31 July 2029), the following activities are planned:

  • 16 mobilities for BKNUC faculty and staff to JAMK University of Applied Sciences for teaching or professional training;
  • 6 mobilities for JAMK faculty and staff to BKNUC for teaching or professional training;
  • 12 mobilities for BKNUC students to undertake short-term studies at JAMK.

Cooperation with JAMK opens up new opportunities for students and staff to gain international experience, strengthens academic ties between Ukraine and Finland, and facilitates the exchange of best practices in education, research, and innovation.

Background information: JAMK University of Applied Sciences is one of the leading higher education institutions in Finland. The university has over 9,000 students, and its educational activities focus on such areas as business, information technology, engineering, healthcare, teacher education, and international cooperation. JAMK actively participates in international mobility programmes and implements numerous Erasmus+ projects with partners around the world.
