ERASMUS+ IN 2021–2027

On 25 March 2021, the European Commission officially announced the launch of the new EU Erasmus+ Programme for 2021–2027.

With a budget exceeding €28 billion, the renewed Programme is not only international, but also more inclusive, digital, and green!

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s international cooperation programme with partner countries worldwide in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport. It aims to support the educational, professional, and personal development of citizens within the EU and beyond, contributing to sustainable growth, quality job creation, and social cohesion, as well as fostering innovation and strengthening European identity and active citizenship.

The Programme supports learning and academic mobility opportunities across education and for youth, projects and partnerships, as well as the development of strategies and cooperation.

Key Programme priorities in education, training, youth, and sport for 2021–2027 include: quality in education and training, inclusion and gender equality, green and digital transitions, teacher and trainer training, higher education, and the geopolitical dimension. In addition, support continues for teaching, learning, and research on European integration matters, particularly regarding future EU challenges and opportunities within the Jean Monnet Actions.
