Coordinating Agency: European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA – Brussels) – centralised management.
The Action aims to: support international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organisations and institutions active in the field of higher education; support the relevance, quality, and modernisation of higher education in Partner Countries of the Programme for their socio-economic recovery, growth, and prosperity.
Objectives of the Action:
- Improving the quality of higher education and enhancing its relevance for the labour market and society in Partner Countries of the Programme;
- Enhancing the level of competences, skills, and employability potential of students at higher education institutions (HEIs) in Partner Countries of the Programme through the development of new and innovative educational programmes;
- Promoting inclusive education, equality, equity, and the development of civic competences in higher education across Partner Countries of the Programme;
- Enhancing the quality of teaching, assessment mechanisms for HEI staff and students, quality assurance, governance, inclusion, innovation, digital and entrepreneurial capacities, and the internationalisation of HEIs in Partner Countries of the Programme;
- Building the capacities of HEIs, higher education authorities, and competent bodies in Partner Countries of the Programme to modernise their higher education systems, particularly regarding governance and funding, through the implementation and monitoring of reform processes;
- Enhancing the quality of teacher training and their continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure a long-term impact on the quality of education systems in Partner Countries of the Programme;
- Developing cooperation between institutions and promoting the exchange of good practices;
- Fostering cooperation across various regions of the world through joint initiatives.
