Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy continues to develop international cooperation with European educational institutions.
One of the outcomes of this activity was the signing of an inter-institutional agreement with the Fulda University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
At the invitation of the German university, the delegation from BKNUC, including the Head of the International Relations Office, Oleksandra Demianenko, and the Director of the Educational-Scientific Centre for Mental Health, Yuliia Sidenko, joined the networking week for representatives of the E³UDRES² alliance. Colleagues from the international departments and offices of E³UDRES² universities in Austria, Albania, Latvia, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Ukraine became participants in the events.
The dynamic and intensive program implied the active involvement of participants in the session on the strategy of internationalization of education and science, intercultural communication and building sustainable partnerships, and in the workshop on equal opportunities, diversity and dialogue. In addition, as part of the program, university representatives were invited to join the Open Days at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences, to familiarize themselves with the specialties and material and technical base of the faculties, as well as opportunities for academic exchanges for students and lecturers.
In order to deepen cooperation at the level of the faculties, the Head of the International Relations Office of BKNUC, Oleksandra Demianenko held working meetings with the management and deputies for international cooperation of the business faculty – Professor Tobias Knedlik and Laura Yilmaz, as well as the social sciences and cultural studies faculty – Professor Matthias Klemm and Marek Liwoch. The parties presented the educational programs under which students study at their universities and agreed on the start of academic exchanges within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
“Starting in the spring semester of 2025, two students of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy will have the opportunity to study for 5 months in the specialties “International Business” and “Social Sciences for Intercultural Relations” at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences. This opportunity is the result of work that began in April this year with a visit to the German partner institution and subsequent close cooperation with the Head of the International Office Julia-Sophie Rothman and the Coordinator of the Erasmus+ program María Campuzano. We are grateful to our partners for their collaboration, we appreciate it and plan to continue developing it in the future,” Oleksandra Demianenko emphasized.
