It is with profound sadness that we share this tragic news. Another unissued diploma belongs to Alina Pashchenko, a graduate of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy...
On 30 June, her classmates were receiving their diplomas while she was defending the country as a UAV operator within the 60th Separate Mechanized Inhulets Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps.
Alina had completed her 4th year at the Educational-Scientific Institute of Economics and Law, majoring in International Economic Relations. On 1 July, she was killed in action during a combat mission.
"Sister" Alina "Freya" Pashchenko - this is how her brothers-in-arms called her at the front. Alina was the head of the Cherkasy city branch of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Sokil" (Falcon). She voluntarily joined the defense of Ukraine.
"Sister 'Freya' gave the most precious thing - her own life - in the struggle for the freedom, independence, and future of Ukraine," the Cherkasy city branch of the APO "Sokil" wrote on their page.
The defender was 22 years old.
The community of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy expresses its deepest condolences to her family and friends.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has claimed yet another young life.
