Lesia Ovsienko, Head of the Department of German Philology of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, became a participant of the International Summer Academy “Deutsch in allen Farben”.

The event was held from August 26 to 31, 2024 in the city of Varna (Bulgaria). The Academy, which brought together teachers and lecturers of the German language from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Turkey, was organized by the Goethe-Institut. More than 70 participants of the event took part in workshops, drawing inspiration from the ideas of native speakers for the development and conduct of German language classes.

Urs Luger presented on the development of creative writing and thinking, while Fabian Wege introduced an interesting approach to using music in class. Teodora Boar and Cristina Drescan shared their experiences and best practices on how to combine country studies with games, how to incorporate moving elements into classes to engage, motivate, and inspire the creativity of pupils and students!

The Department of German Philology and Lesia Ovsienko express their gratitude to the Goethe-Institut for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in the event, and they look forward to further fruitful cooperation.
