On October 15, 2025, the academic staff of the Department of World History and International Relations of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy, together with students majoring in International Relations (specialty C3) at the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy, participated in the sixth meeting of the series “Women in Diplomacy: Challenge or Mission?”.

The Scientific Society of the History of Diplomacy and International Relations (Chair of the Board – Professor Iryna Matiash) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine were the organisers of the event.

Natalka Zemziulina, Professor at the Department of World History and International Relations, served as a co-moderator of the event. The meeting opened with a welcoming speech delivered by Olena Kondratiuk, Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The speakers of the event were Maryna Mykhailenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Portuguese Republic, Candidate of Historical Sciences; Tetiana Sybiha, Head of the Centre for Public Diplomacy of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, co-founder and leader of the “Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats” Association, and public figure; Iryna Podyriako, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Nice, co-founder and President of the Association Franco-Ukrainienne Côte-d’Azur (AFUCA); and Khrystyna Vydoinyk, member of the “Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats” Association, and wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Finland, Mykhailo Vydoinyk.
