The Associate Membership of Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy in the European University Alliance E³UDRES² opens up wide-ranging opportunities for all participants in the educational process to engage in international projects. From 15 to 19 April 2024, fourth-year students of the C3 “International Relations” programme, Kristina Tamaz and Mariia Vykovych took part in the spring school “Imagine.Your.Europe!” at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Germany. In June 2024, Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Social and Political Sciences Oleksandra Demianenko joined the European Civic Skills Training held at the same university.
As of July 2025, Olha Borysova, a third-year student at the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy, majoring in C3 “International Relations”, is completing a semester-long internship programme at the Faculty of Social Communications at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
“I am extremely satisfied with my participation in the Erasmus+ programme in Fulda,” Olha shares her impressions of the programme. “It was an incredible experience that opened up many opportunities for me. First of all, I completely transformed my understanding of international communications on a human level and, of course, significantly improved my English, as I communicated with people from different countries, cultures, and linguistic backgrounds every day.
The orientation week was truly fantastic! We enjoyed a wonderful city tour, went hiking in the Rhön Mountains, visited cultural landmarks in the region, attended movie nights, and participated in a networking evening. All these events gave me incredible emotions, warm memories, and a genuine sense of unity with the international student community. We exchanged ideas with students from various universities, namely those from Latvia, Portugal, Germany, Austria, and Pakistan, together discussing and envisioning the future of Europe and interregional communications with countries across different continents.
The educational process also impressed me. Excellent lecturers, engaging lectures, and group projects with international students helped me not only to gain a deeper understanding of the topics but also to become more confident in public speaking. The strong support for Ukraine in its struggle for identity and sovereignty, as well as the interest in our history and language inspired me greatly during my presentations and communications on various platforms. Together, we learnt Ukrainian slogans, analysed sayings, and commented on current photos depicting crimes committed by the russian federation, and acknowledged the resilience of Ukrainians. Thanks to this, I made new friends from all over the world, and I hope to continue communicating with them in future projects.
I sincerely thank Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy and the faculty of the Educational-Scientific Institute of International Relations, History and Philosophy for such a wonderful opportunity. It was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. Erasmus+ is not only about studying; it is about growth, discovery, and new horizons. It is a chance to reveal yourself and your country to the world.”
