Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy has once again confirmed its high status and dynamic development by being included in the prestigious list of Europe’s leading higher education institutions according to the international agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
The QS Europe University Rankings 2026 evaluates universities based on 12 indicators, including academic reputation, research activity, international engagement, graduate employability, sustainability.
According to the QS Europe University Rankings 2026 data released on January 28, our university demonstrated stable results, securing a significant position among Europe’s leading academic institutions.
– The university was placed in the 701–900 category among the best universities in Europe. This demonstrates the institution’s competitiveness in the broader education market.
– In the category of Eastern European universities, Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy achieved an honourable 99th place. Being among the top 100 institutions in Eastern Europe reflects the high quality of education and research activity.
– Among the Ukrainian higher education institutions included in the ranking, Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy placed 17th.
The success of BKNUC in 2026 is the result of the systematic work of the entire university community: faculty members, researchers, and students. The high ranking confirms that the university’s diploma is recognised by the international community and that the level of specialist training meets modern European standards.
Vice-Rector for Scientific, Innovation, and International Activities, Oleksandr Spriahailo, noted that the university community does not plan to stop at what has been achieved. New challenges lie ahead, aimed at further improving research performance and expanding international partnerships.
