Six students majoring in Secondary Education and Philology at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy were nominated to participate in the Erasmus+ international academic mobility programme.
They are 4th-year students of the Educational-Scienfic Institute of Foreign Languages Nina Tymoshenko and Anna Krasnova, as well as 3rd-year students Iryna Shylnikova, Anastasiia Chernenko, Daria Zabolotnia and Anastasiia Shkurdoda. For 5 months, they will study under the English Language Studies programme at the University of Valladolid, Spain. Their study is fully financed by the Erasmus+ programme.
— We are very proud of the fact that as many as 6 students were selected from our university for the first time. This is the largest number of nominations among all Ukrainian partners of the University of Valladolid, - the project coordinator, Nataliia Slyvka, acting Head of the Department of Modern English Teaching Practices commented. — We have been successfully working with the University of Valladolid since 2019. During this time, 7 grants for academic mobility were received. Our students have proven themselves very well as diligent, intelligent and highly motivated. They successfully passed exams at a Spanish university, demonstrating a high level of knowledge, and were ranked among the best in their course. In addition, we regularly hold many events dedicated to the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme, in particular, we share the results of this project. Therefore, we always have many students who want to take part in the competition. We are sure that such a high result is the outcome of the coordinated and painstaking work of the coordinator, the international relations office, the university administration and the students themselves.
— It is incredibly exciting to become a part of the student family of the University of Valladolid, —Anastasiia Chernenko, a 3rd-year student says. — This is a great opportunity to make new friends, gain interesting and useful experience, improve English language skills and immerse yourself in the Spanish flavour and culture.
4th year student Nina Tymoshenko adds:
— From the first minute of our stay at the University, we felt the incredible hospitality. The university administration organized a welcome party where all Erasmus+ students were able to meet, talk with the rector and get an incredible boost of positivity and inspiration. We are incredibly happy that after a difficult journey we have finally arrived in a place full of culture, history and new opportunities. We thank our university for this wonderful opportunity, and the coordinator Nataliia Petrivna and the directorate of our institute for the motivation and constant support!
The lecturers of the department are proud of successful students and wish them interesting learning, pleasant experiences and positive emotions.
