As part of the academic events dedicated to Science Day, which was celebrated in Ukraine on May 17 this year, the traditional XXVII All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference «Topical Issues of Natural and Humanitarian Sciences in the Research of Young Scientists “Rodzynka” 2025» was held at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.
Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy consistently places great emphasis on support and development of young scientists. They bear the responsibility for the future development of science, technology, and culture in our country. Therefore, the university actively fosters favorable conditions for realizing the scientific potential of students, postgraduate students, and young researchers.
This year students, postgraduates, young scientists, and researchers from various regions of Ukraine participated in the conference, which demonstrates a wide scientific interest in the discussed topics and a high level of engagement from the academic community.
The conference was also attended by representatives of leading Ukrainian universities and educational institutions, including Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University of Oleksandr Dovzhenko, Institute of Plant Protection, Ukrainian State University named after Mykhailo Drahomanov, Rauf Ablyazov East European University, Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, Zaporizhzhia National University, Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Sumy State University, National Academy of Internal Affairs, Cherkasy Medical Academy, and H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
Such a wide geographical and scientific spectrum of conference participants is a clear testament to the fact that young researchers and the professional community from various regions of Ukraine are united by a common goal – the search for effective solutions, the advancement of modern science, and the preservation of academic truth, even in today’s challenging circumstances.
On May 21, as part of the conference, a formal plenary session was held. The participants were welcomed by Oleksandr Spryahailo, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Innovation and International Activities, Olesia Vashchuk, Chair of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Yuliia Solovei, Chair of the Council of Young Scientists at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.
During the event, young scientists were recognized with certificates of appreciation from the university. They have made a significant contribution to the development of scientific activity, actively support the scientific community, and promote science among students.
The plenary session featured presentations by Ukrainian scientists who shared their achievements and latest research results in various fields of science. In particular Olesia Vashchuk, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Criminalistics at the National University «Odesa Law Academy», Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, presented a report titled «The Irrelevance of Young Scientists' Research». The report titled «Analysis of Simulated Data on Simple Sensorimotor Reaction of 18–25-Year Old Students Using Python in Google Colab» was presented by Vladyslav Severynchuk, first-year postgraduate student, specialty 091 «Biology and Biochemistry» of Educational-Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Health, scientific supervisor – Yuriy Petrenko, associate professor, associate professor of the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Physical Rehabilitation, candidate of biological sciences, Educational-Scientific Institute of
Physical Culture, Sports and Health. Alisa Sukhikh, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Institute for Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Consultant to the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Coordinator of the Scientist Support Office, presented a speech titled «Young Scientists in an Era of Challenges: Science as a Tool of Responsibility, Sustainability, and National Identity». Oleksandr Korobko, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Ecology and Agro-Technologies of Educational-Scientific Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, presented a report «Neural Networks in Plant Physiology and Plant Production». Tetiana Miroshnychenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Pedagogical and Artistic Education at Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, gave a speech titled «Developing Felixological Competence in Future Teachers: A Coaching Approach».
The XXVII All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists «Topical Issues of Natural and Humanitarian Sciences in the Research of Young Scientists “Rodzynka” 2025» once again showed the important role of youth in the development of Ukrainian science. This event served not only as a platform for presenting scientific achievements, but also as a space for professional growth, finding like-minded people, and establishing inter-university connections.
Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy will continue to be a reliable pillar of support for young scientists, who shape the intellectual future of Ukraine with their daily work. After all, it is young scientists who become the driving force of changes, capable of adapting science to the new challenges of the time and paving the way for innovative progress.
We are proud of the achievements of our students, postgraduates, and young researchers. We thank all participants of the conference for their active engagement and scientific initiative, and we believe that the ideas presented during «Rodzynka-2025» will find practical implementation in the future.
